Jan Steinmann

Men's GP Rep.

During my youth I started competing for state titles in Tabletennis until I focused on cycling during my last year at school.

Mountainbiking then became my passion and was followed by many adventurours trips around the globe which led me into competing in cross country and marathon racing.

Once familiar with racing, the Roadbike and Zwift became my thing. Starting to train virtually it instantly became an addiction and  I started to race in the Premiere Division for 2 seasons. Now with a new Team and a new language it’s a challenge which I choose deliberately and Iam looking forward to compete and enjoy our time together!

Adam Thorpe

Women's GP Rep.

Currently, I’m based in Birmingham with fellow WLC member Zoë Langham and our two cats Albie and Lottie (named after the great Alberto Contador and Lotte Kopecky of course). I originally started out as a runner, but after countless injuries and a dabble in triathlon I have decided the lycra clad life is for me (until Zoë drops me up a hill, then I’m definitely more of a runner). During the day I work as a design engineer for the automotive company Polestar, but most people would know me for my evening job - the WLC Ladies DS! I dread to think what our neighbours assume each Tuesday evening as I shout out multiple ladies’ names… but the team’s fighting spirit and togetherness is well worth it!

Alejandro Mallea

Director of IT

After being a casual runner for over 10 years, a recurring pain was identified as something that would get worse if I continued to run. The doctors recommended cycling, as it has no direct impact on the feet. As an adult beginner in road cycling with no actual experience of riding on the road, Zwift was the most important discovery for my health. It balances my sedentary job as a software engineer and keeps my weight in check, something I've always struggled to control. Originally from Chile, I live in the US with my wife (also an avid Zwifter) and two cats.
