Illi Gardner

Illi is a VFX artist currently based in Wales. She grew up swimming and running competitively, which inevitably led to triathlons -- while cycling was originally her worst leg, it only took a few years to become her favourite! Illi spent a few years racing at UCI level, but climbing and riding in the mountains have always been her favourite part of the sport. Illi has been enjoying racing the Premier League with WLC, in which she has picked up a few top 10 finishes. Illi is also the current World Record Holder in Everesting!

Frances Owen

Hi, I’m Frances - lover of bergs and all things aero.

I started racing time trials and hill climbs in 2020 for my local club after dabbling in triathlon (badly) for a few years previous. In 2021, I became the jack-of-all-distances - from 5 minute hill climbs to 100 mile TT’s - with a knack for frequenting the top 5 at National Cycling Time Trials, but never actually landing on the podium! I started road/circuit racing in 2022 and became instantly addicted - the hillier the course the better!

I am also one of Wahoo-EZ-LeCol’s tame multisport athletes, and will be showing a face on the Duathlon and Triathlon age-group circuit in 2023.

I am keen to develop as a rider alongside an awesome bunch of women, and excited to embark on some National level road racing with the team in 2023!

Maya Branfoot

I’m Maya and in my final year of a History degree at York. I have rowed competitively since I was 14 but turned to cycling in Spring 2021 when Rowing had been not possible due to the pandemic, causing me to turn to other sports. From my first ride I fell in love with the bike (and Zwift!) superior and haven’t looked back since (aside from one last Henley run!)
I started training on the bike for the primary purpose of being able to stay on my boyfriend’s wheel for café rides but the competitive streak in me quickly turned to Crits, TTs, Road Racing and Hill Climbs. I have just completed my first season of racing which saw me on multiple podiums and climb my way to Cat 2 in my first season.
I am so excited to continue to develop with and see what I can achieve on a national stage for Wahoo-EZ-LeCol this year.
